Terms of Service

Draft. This document is a working draft and must be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before Ignisfox begins accepting payments or accepting sensitive customer data at scale. The language below is a starting point, not legal advice.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Ignisfox (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
Ignisfox is a software-as-a-service offering that helps teams inspect, convert, store, and monitor SSL/TLS certificates. The Service includes free anonymous tools (SSL check, PFX converter) and authenticated features (encrypted cert vault, monitoring, and related tools).
3. Accounts and Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. Multi-factor authentication is required for authenticated access. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You may not use the Service to probe or monitor hostnames you do not own or have explicit authorization to monitor, nor to store cryptographic materials you do not have the right to store.
5. Your Data and Encryption
Sensitive data (certificates, private keys, stored PFX passwords) is encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM with a per-tenant data encryption key wrapped by a master key. Ignisfox administrators hold the master key for operational reasons (backup recovery, incident response, and research described in your account disclosures). You retain ownership of the data you submit.
6. Fees
The Service includes free tiers. Paid tiers, where applicable, are billed in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law. Pricing and feature availability may change on 30 days’ notice.
7. Service Availability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. Ignisfox does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ignisfox’s total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to the fees paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate at any time. On termination, your data may be deleted within 30 days. You can request an export of your data before termination by contacting support@ignisfox.com.
10. Changes
We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the Service. Continued use after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance.
